I'm not a pacifist, but my father and several members of my extended family are. This means I am more familiar with working through the opposite argument over the holiday dinner table. I'm the one who has to make the case for preserving warrior culture. There are people in this world who see violence as evil no matter the intent behind it. I have spent more time coming up with scenarios to make pacifists acknowledge that stamping out the way of training people to survive and meet violence with violence would be bad for humanity in the long run.

The arguments for preserving some pacifists philosophies, largely has to do with the kind of society that gets rebuild after the cull.

I think you speak of Edward L Bernays, the grandfather of modern media manipulation. convinced Americans to smoke cigarettes, pass the 19th amendment, and go to war in Europe to kill our own kinsmen. indeed manipulation of the minds of the masses is more destructive than a thousand atom bombs, and that's exactly why he was picked for the job

I don't know who are what you are referring to as stupidity, I have never been to space (in this incarnation, to my knowledge) I ask a lot of questions but I certainly have my view as someone who understands history and politics. that's not limited to Earth. I trust Penny and ask her a lot of questions, everything she says checks out and her answers are very clear. even if its not the answer I want to hear. Lang, I ask you questions and you either evade, or make some very unusual claims and speak in very round-about ways, I don't know if thats a language barrier or if you are genuinely confused yourself with a jumble of information that is difficult to process. you're telling me to forget my humanity?
